The Henry Colbron Trust

The Henry Colbron Trust, created under the Will of Henry Colbron who was not a Merchant Taylor but left a legacy to the Company to provide a school in the village of Ashwell in Hertfordshire. This it has done since the 17th century but, since the building of the State Primary School in Ashwell, this Trust operates under a Scheme from the then Minister of Education, endorsed by subsequent Schemes from the Charity Commission, and covers education for the children of the village.
