Doctors' Dinner

After the event was sadly postponed in December due to Covid, the Merchant Taylors' Company was delighted to welcome young people, teachers, headteachers, and many guests with links to education, to the Doctors' Dinner on Wednesday 30 March. Whilst its history dates back to 1561, as the Master recalled in her speech, its importance and the celebration of young people's achievements are no different today. We also had the honour of guest speaker Dr. Ann Olivarius, whose thought-provoking speech included cases of justice and women's rights. The musical interlude was by the Merchant Taylors' School Dixieland Band who delighted us with Ain't Misbehavin' and Original Dixieland One-step.
