Employers and relevant stakesholders are invited to take part in a consultation on the Bespoke Tailoring Apprenticeship Standard.
Apprenticeship Standards will replace current Apprenticeship Frameworksas a result of the Richard Review and the Future of Apprenticeships in England: Implementation Plan published by the Government in October 2013. They are being developed by groups of employers through ‘Trailblazer activity’ for specific industries.
Each Trailblazer is creating a new Apprenticeship Standard which must be no more than two sides in length and describe both the skills and knowledge that an individual will need to be fully competent in an occupation, as agreed by sector employers.
This current draft has been endorsed by the Bespoke Employer Steering Group which includes the following companies – Henry Poole & Co, Dege & Skinner, Gieves & Hawkes, Chittleborough & Morgan, Norton & sons, Welsh & Jefferies, Richard Anderson, Meyer & Mortimer, Kathryn Sargent and Anderson & Sheppard.
This consultation, led by the Bespoke Tailoring Employer Group, facilitated by Creative Skillset and further supported by The Merchant Taylors Company, focuses on a proposed Higher Level Apprenticeship Standard at Level 5 dealing with the occupations of Bespoke Tailor and Bespoke Cutter.
We would like you to read the draft Standard and invite you to comment on it, either to endorse the draft Standard or suggest any recommendations before close of play on Monday 1st June 2015. Please contact Su Thomas email@example.com or (07940) 715964 with your feedback.
