The Company and Philanthropy

The Merchant Taylors' Company helps transform lives through education, housing and grant-making

Philanthropy has been at the heart of The Merchant Taylors' Company since it was founded as a Fraternity in the early 1300s. From the early provision of alms to support sick, old or ailing tailors and their families, the Company has grown in size and ambitions.

Working across four regions of London: Hackney, Lewisham, Southwark and Tower Hamlets, the Company's work comprises three parts to transform lives. Find out more about each of these below.
